Nelson Rodriguez today joins the team of Pride Films and Plays Artistic Associates.
Nelson Rodriguez’s Pride Films & Plays credits include enhanced staged readings of Angry Fags, The Bachelors, and the upcoming The Children’s Hour. He also directed Boys in Summer and produced the 2013 Gay Film Weekend. Other Chicago credits include Lydia and References to Salvador Dalí Make Me Hot with National Pastime Theatre, Tea With Edie and Fitz with Dead Writers Theatre Collective, Puto (staged reading) with UrbanTheatre Company, Six Degrees of Separation with Eclectic Full Contact Theatre, The Rover and Girlfriend (staged reading) with 20% Theatre Company, Romeo vs Juliet with Pretty/Windy Theatre, Paradise Lost with The Agency Theatre Collective, and continuous work with Adventure Stage Chicago. Regional credits include Talley’s Folly, The Comedy of Errors, Almost, Maine, and The Importance of Being Earnest with Southern Arena Theatre. Nelson holds an MFA in Acting from The University of Southern Mississippi and is a founding member of Jubilee Theatre Collective. He is represented by Gray Talent Group.
