Parking and Public Transportation

Pride Arts Center is in an 8 story pale 1920’s building that is on the southeast corner of Broadway and Buena. The building has lovely blue awnings on the Broadway side.

We are in Buena Park at the Southern end of Uptown, about 10 minutes north of Boystown.

Remember there are two theaters. The smaller Buena is farther north at 4147 N Broadway. The larger Broadway is five doors south at 4139.

Here is how to find us!

We are between the Wilson and Sheridan stops on the Red Line. Coming from the north, exit at Wilson, walk east to Broadway, and walk south (past Target, etc) to Pride Arts.   From the south, exit at Sheridan, and walk North on Sheridan to Gordon Terrace and turn left on Broadway.

From the Blue Line, exit at Irving Park and take Irving park bus 80 to Irving Park & Broadway. Then walk north 4 blocks on Broadway. This can be a lengthy trip, so use the Red Line if you have a choice between the two.

Bus routes are also convenient:

  • The 36 Broadway bus stops at the corner of Broadway and Buena.
  • Bus 151 goes down Sheridan 1 block from Pride at Buena.
  • Bus 146 express goes down Marine drive 2.5 blocks from Marine to Buena.

The closest Divvy Bike docking station is on Sheridan and Buena. After you park, walk east to Broadway and we are in the big pale building with the blue awnings.

When biking on the Lake Shore bike path from either North or South, take the underpass at the Peace  Garden which will lead you onto Buena and we are a few minutes west.

Parking can be tricky because all the streets around us – Broadway, Buena, and the side streets – feature free parking. If you are coming from the south, head up Broadway from Irving Park and grab the first spot you see! Heading north of Buena, parking is not too bad on Broadway, and is excellent on Montrose west of Clark (on the north side of Graceland Cemetery or on Irving Park west of the Red Line on the south side of Graceland.)

If you don’t want to search, we recommend using Spot Hero, as there are several commercial lots on Clarendon just to the east, including Walt Disney school that are within a 15 minute walk. Other paid lots south of Irving Park are listed as being a 15 minute walk, and are as cheap as $5.
