Support PFP This Holiday Season

“The ache for home lives in all of us, the safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned.”                     -Maya Angelou

broadway-1Dear Friend,

Chicago has always been home to Pride Films and Plays, but this year, we made the big step of creating a physical artistic home at Pride Arts Center in Buena Park.

While this is a huge move for us, we did it because of you.

Yes, you.

We saw there was a need for a permanent space where people from all different walks of life could be joined together to enjoy amazing and inspiring theater that is inclusive and a force for good. A place where the stories of the LGBTQ community could be heard and celebrated.

Sadly, we are often reminded that our voices are ones that some want silenced, and this year has been no different. It’s more important than ever that we have these spaces available and waiting for us when we need them most.

buena-1To be frank, Pride Arts Center is a huge undertaking. It will cost us $15,000 per month, every month, to continue this project, which we all know is desperately needed. There’s no other way to say it: We need your help and support.

If 2016 has been good to you, or if you just hope for a brighter world in 2017, we hope you’ll make a gift to Pride Films and Plays here.

Together we can make this place a home—for all of us.
